About Howley Park
Lookout at Howley Park
City of Canada Bay Council's upgrade turns the eastern side of Howley Park into a lookout area. The lookout has bench seats that face east across the river, and a sloping lawn terrace runs down from it toward the foreshore. New lighting on the eastern side is designed to make the lookout usable after dark. Howley Park's existing shelter and seats remain alongside the lookout works.
The Foreshore at Howley Park
Howley Park's upgrade adds a new pedestrian and disability access ramp, plus terraced seating and beach stairs, giving visitors several routes between the lookout and the water's edge. A walkway down to the foreshore is part of the eastern side redevelopment, and bush regeneration is included in the same project. Once the foreshore works are finished, the upgrade is intended to allow swimming, kayaking and canoeing from Howley Park.
