About Lyne Park
Flying Boat Playground at Lyne Park
Lyne Park has a fully fenced children's playground with a flying fox and two large climbing frames, one designed like a seaplane and the other like a pirate ship. The playground was refreshed in August 2024. Lyne Park also has a bike and scooter trail for small children. Families can use the shade areas, picnic tables and large grassed areas across the park.
Off-Leash Dog Hours at Lyne Park
Lyne Park allows dogs off leash from 3:30pm to 10:30am each day, except during organised sport. Outside those hours, dogs must stay on a leash. Off-leash access is set by time of day rather than by a fenced dog area, so dogs share the large grassed lawns, shady trees and accessible paths with other visitors. Dogs are not permitted in the children's playground at any time.
Sports and Boating at Lyne Park
Lyne Park has sports grounds, public tennis courts, a basketball hoop and an exercise station for outdoor fitness. The wide grassed lawns also suit picnics, play and informal sport. Lyne Park has a boat ramp, and non-motorised craft can be launched from its eastern ramp. Woollahra Sailing Club can be visited from the park, and a commercial seaplane base sits nearby.
