About Gugara Park

Playground at Gugara Park

Gugara Park has a fully fenced playground that is safe, enclosed and shady, which suits young children on warm days. The play equipment includes a large swing set, a large climbing net and balance beams beside the tubular slide. Gugara Park also has a nature play area with timber stepping posts and balance logs. The equipment was upgraded during the park's redevelopment.

Picnic Areas and Gardens at Gugara Park

Gugara Park has picnic tables and park benches where families can sit and eat, plus a drinking fountain. The park also has landscaped garden beds planted with shrubs and perennials, and new footpaths were added during the upgrade. These features came from a community-led redesign of the former Dillon Street Reserve, which was renamed Gugara Park after community consultation with the Gujaga Foundation.
