About Marks Park

Off-Leash Dog Area at Marks Park

Marks Park has a designated off-leash dog area that operates every day from 4:30pm to 8:30am. Outside that zone, dogs must stay on a leash on the park lawns and the coastal walk. Dogs are banned from the beach, the area near the Bronte ocean pool, the BBQs and anywhere within 10 metres of the children's playground. Off-leash access is suspended each year while Sculpture by the Sea runs, roughly mid-October to mid-November. Current Waverley Council signage at the park sets the rules.

Playground and Family Facilities at Marks Park

Marks Park has a children's playground with a sandy base. Marks Park has public toilets, including a recently refurbished toilet block, and accessible public toilets are nearby. Picnic areas, seating and shaded spots spread across the park's flat grassy lawns, and BBQ facilities sit away from the off-leash zone. Marks Park also has a fitness station, and wide paved pathways link the seating areas over easy terrain suited to prams and wheelchairs.
