About Dickson Park
Off-Leash Dog Area at Dickson Park
Dickson Park has an off-leash dog area on its upper grassy level, open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The area is unfenced, and a steep embankment acts as a natural barrier, so dogs need good recall. Dogs must stay on leash on the lower level and keep at least 10 metres from the playground. Dogs must also avoid the sports areas on the top section while sports are being played. A drinking water station and poo bag dispensers serve dog owners.
Playground and Picnic Areas at Dickson Park
The lower level of Dickson Park has a large adventure playground with climbing equipment, a long slide, a nest swing, spring rockers and a merry-go-round. The playground is toddler friendly, with sun shade, seats and tables near the play area and a sheltered picnic table beside it. The playground is unfenced, so children need adult supervision. Dickson Park also has picnic spots with shelters, tables and BBQs, plus a half court with basketball rings.
