Off-Leash Dog Park at Brickpit Park
Brickpit Park has a fully fenced off-leash dog park that opened to the public on 8 July 2025. Double-gated entrances, concrete pathways, waste bins, dog waste bags and water stations for dogs are all inside the enclosure, which is landscaped with new trees, shrubs and lawn. Dogs must stay leashed until they are inside the fence and be leashed again before leaving, and they may not run off-leash anywhere else in the park. Owners must keep their dogs in sight and under voice control, pick up waste, and stop them rushing at or harassing other dogs and people.
Upgraded Playground at Brickpit Park
Brickpit Park has an upgraded playground with embankment play, a slide, a flying fox, swings and a climbing net. The play space also includes inclusive play equipment and a junior water play area, and shade sails and picnic shelters offer relief from the sun during play. The junior water play area gives children a place to cool off on warm days. Accessible pathways run throughout the play area.
Thornleigh Brickpit Stadium at Brickpit Park
Brickpit Park is home to the Thornleigh Brickpit Stadium, which has four championship-size basketball courts marked for netball, volleyball and badminton. The stadium also has a fully serviced kiosk and a meeting room. Brickpit Park also has tennis courts and netball courts for community use. These courts serve casual players and competitive teams, making the park a hub for organised sport in Thornleigh.
