Buckle Reserve
Buckle Reserve is an L-shaped reserve on the western edge of Menai with two playing fields, Buckle Field 1 and Buckle Field 2, used for year-round soccer and home to Menai Hawks FC. It also has a playground for toddlers, a picnic area with a BBQ, bushland and an on-lead dog area.

Soccer Fields at Buckle Reserve
Buckle Reserve has two playing fields, with Buckle Field 1 on the western side and Buckle Field 2 on the eastern side. Menai Hawks FC is based at the reserve and had over 900 members in 2022. Oval floodlighting allows evening sport, and a change room serves players. The Menai Hawks clubhouse was extended in 1997 to add a second-floor meeting room, a viewing balcony, dressing rooms and a canteen.

Buckle Reserve has a playground with a play truck, a toddler swing and a rocker. The toddler swing and rocker are made for younger children, which makes the playground a good fit for families with toddlers. While little ones use the play truck, older children can explore the wider reserve, a large L-shaped space that also contains bushland. The bushland gives Buckle Reserve a natural setting beyond the play equipment and the sports fields.
Picnic and BBQ Area at Buckle Reserve
Buckle Reserve has a picnic area for outdoor meals and group gatherings, with a BBQ so visitors can cook on site. A shelter at the picnic area gives cover from sun and rain. Drinking water is available for refilling bottles, and the reserve has toilets, including an MLAK toilet. With these facilities and disabled access, Buckle Reserve suits a relaxed outdoor meal with family or friends.
