About Austin Reserve
Upgraded Playground at Austin Reserve
Georges River Council renewed the playground at Austin Reserve under its Playground Program 2023/2024, which upgrades existing playspaces across the local government area. Modern structures designed for children of all ages and abilities replaced the ageing play equipment. The equipment aims to encourage physical activity, creativity and social interaction, and gives families a safe, welcoming place to gather. The upgraded playground is now officially open for use.
Cricket Cages and Open Grass at Austin Reserve
Austin Reserve has cricket cages, which give the reserve a sporting option alongside its playground. An open grass area suits informal games and gives younger children room to run between pieces of play equipment. Families can combine a game of cricket in the cages with time on the swings and slide. The reserve's only picnic seating is a single double-sided bench and table.
