About Terrace Falls Reserve
Waterfalls at Terrace Falls Reserve
Terrace Falls Reserve contains a chain of water features along its valley. At Terrace Falls, water flows over stepped rock terraces and collects in an amphitheatre at the base. The walking circuit also reaches Pyramid Falls, Bedford Pool and Victor Falls, so one walk takes in three waterfalls and a pool. Creeks and bushland tracks join these spots, and every attraction in the reserve is natural rather than built.
Walking Circuit at Terrace Falls Reserve
Terrace Falls Reserve has a 4.5 km walking circuit, partly a loop, that takes about 2.5 hours. The circuit is graded moderate and includes steep sections, so walkers should allow extra time for the climbs. It is not wheel-friendly and suits walkers rather than wheelchair or pram users. Adams Lookout, the only formal lookout in the reserve, gives a viewpoint over the reserve, and the tracks are rarely crowded.
Dog Walking at Terrace Falls Reserve
Terrace Falls Reserve is dog-friendly, and dogs must stay on a lead along the Terrace Falls Circuit. The reserve is not part of Blue Mountains National Park, so its dog rules are set separately from those of the national park. Owners are welcome to walk leashed dogs along the tracks past the waterfalls, keeping them under close control near the creek crossings.
