About Epping Reserve

Nature Play Playground at Epping Reserve

Epping Reserve has a small, unfenced playground built around informal nature play rather than a large, enclosed play structure. Three timber play elements were installed in late 2025 as part of the Epping and Kiaora Play project, which also covers Kiaora Reserve. The playground sits in the open among the reserve's trees and planting, so children play in a landscaped setting close to the grass and the through path.

Landscaping Upgrades at Epping Reserve

Epping Reserve's planting and landscaping upgrades were completed in March 2026, the final stage of the Epping and Kiaora Play project, and its seating and pathway upgrades are also complete. The final design for Epping Reserve included tree pruning, an upgraded paved area, a replanted central garden bed and low-level screen planting along both sides of the reserve. The design also replaced the existing picnic table with a new one in a new position.
