About Ewen Park

Playground, Bike Track and Skate Park at Ewen Park

Ewen Park has a large playground with a bike track and a skate park, so young children, older kids and teenagers each have space to play and ride. The playground sits beside the Cooks River, and no fence separates the playground from the river. Parents should keep young children within close view during play. Open green space surrounds the playground, giving families room to spread out before or after a session.

Sports Fields and Clubhouse at Ewen Park

Ewen Park has two playing fields used by the Hurlstone Park Wanderers soccer club, and cricket is played on the fields in summer. The club's new clubhouse opened in March 2024. The clubhouse includes a canteen, a covered BBQ area, a club room, change rooms and accessible public toilets. Because the BBQ area is covered, groups can use it in wet weather.

Cooks River and Greenway at Ewen Park

Ewen Park sits on the Cooks River and has a kayak launch point for paddlers. Riverside bushland with native plants, wide grassy areas and birdlife gives visitors plenty to observe. Picnic areas along the river let visitors combine a walk with a riverside break. The 6km Greenway shared path starts at Ewen Park, giving walkers and cyclists a longer route, and the gentle, open landscape is easy to explore on foot.
