About Ward Park

Off-Leash Dog Area at Ward Park

Ward Park allows dogs off-leash at all times, so Surry Hills owners can let their dogs run at any hour. The park covers 2.4 acres, which gives dogs and owners room to move. Ward Park is also a walking and running spot, so owners can fit their own exercise around a dog's play. Two drinking water bubblers in the park mean owners can refill a water bottle mid-visit.

Playgrounds and Skate Bowl at Ward Park

Ward Park has two playgrounds for different age groups: an enclosed playground designed for toddlers and an open playground for older children with slides, swings, climbing equipment, a bridge and sandpits. A skate bowl sits beside the older children's playground. The bowl is a one-foot deep micro bowl with 3 small extensions that suits every ability of bowl-style skating. An outdoor ping pong table in the same area adds table tennis for high school students and younger children.
