Playground and Youth Precinct at Seymour Shaw Park

Seymour Shaw Park has a shaded, fully fenced children's playground with synthetic softfall, built around a bespoke playfort with two slides, swings, climbing ropes and a climbing bridge. For older kids, the youth precinct has two skate bowls, a skate plaza, a basketball half-court, parkour challenges and climbing elements. Sculptural features sit among shaded social areas with seating for families to rest.

Sports Fields and Courts at Seymour Shaw Park

Seymour Shaw Park has sports fields for soccer, cricket and netball, including synthetic fields, grass netball courts, tennis courts and four cricket nets. Oval floodlighting, change rooms and a sports clubhouse support club games. The fields host netball and soccer in winter and cricket and soccer in summer. The park is home to the Miranda Magpies and is the home ground of the Sutherland Sharks, with a stated capacity of 5,000, including 1,000 seated.

Walking Paths at Seymour Shaw Park

Seymour Shaw Park has well-marked paths for walking, running and hiking, and spring and autumn are the best seasons to use them. Walkers can bring dogs on a lead, as the park has a dog on-lead area. Along the paths, visitors can watch for lorikeets, kookaburras, magpies, skinks and blue-tongue lizards, with occasional wallabies and possums. The Miranda Cenotaph memorial also stands within the park's grounds.
