About Bennett Park

New Playspace at Bennett Park

The upgrade at Bennett Park replaces the existing playspace, which has a slide and swings, with a larger, mixed recreation space holding equipment for children of all ages. The new playspace includes a cliff rider and a canoe swing aimed at teenagers and older children, plus a variety of play options for younger children. Pathways, seating, shade, tree planting and landscaping are planned alongside these features. The project is funded by Penrith City Council, the NSW Government's Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants Program and the Australian Government's Investing in Our Communities Program.

Pump Track and Bike Riding at Bennett Park

Bennett Park has a bike path and a learn-to-ride loop, and the loop is being replaced as part of the upgrade. The upgrade brings a mini pump track with beginner and intermediate loops, which suits riders who are building their skills. Council revised some proposed features because of site remediation costs, and a skate park is not possible at Bennett Park within the project budget.
