Outdoor Gym at Purcell Park
Purcell Park has a free outdoor gym that needs no membership or booking. The equipment also includes pull-downs, an elliptical trainer, a sit-up bench, body dips and an aerobic cycle, all made of corrosion-resistant metal with instructional signage on each piece. Sandstone seating doubles as exercise equipment, and exercise line markings help with alignment, footwork and agility. A seat with armrests and a backrest is provided for older users.
Playground at Purcell Park
Purcell Park has a fully fenced children's playground with a variety of play equipment. A shade structure and a park seat at the playground let carers supervise children from the shade. The playground sits within a large grassed park with shade trees, giving young children open lawn beside the equipment, and a litter bin is provided. Dogs are prohibited within 10m of the playground.
Paths and Bike Track at Purcell Park
Purcell Park has a shared path that runs around the playground and suits jogging, bikes and scooters. Children learning to ride a scooter or bike can practise on this path close to the play equipment. An extensive bike path also runs through the grassed park, and shade trees cover the paths for riders and walkers. The handball court sits on the same grassed site as the paths.
